Book Description
This valuable book is part of a series is designed to supplement the
Practical Chinese Reader, one of the most widely used elementary Chinese
textbook series at the high school and college levels. The three companions
(A, B, and C) correspond to the material introduced in Books 1 and 2 of the
Practical Chinese Reader. Each book is divided into three sections. Lecture
notes clarify grammar points omitted in the primary text. Situational
dialogues--such as making phone calls, asking for directions,
etc.--introduce more contemporary vocabulary and useful expressions.
Perforated homework pages contain additional exercises. There are also three
useful appendices: Appendix A contains the texts in traditional characters.
Appendix B contains a key to exercises in lessons 21-35 of the Practical
Chinese Reader.
